The players increase MANA, the harmonious life force of the Maori, by laying out pictures in front of themselves and their fellow players. In doing so, each player strives for an extensive display of their own. But those who play cards to their fellow players are also rewarded with MANA. This reward is particularly high when the number of cards on display approaches the maximum of 6 cards per picture.
Players can reuse the MANA they have won to get more cards even faster. In this way, the card displays of all players fill up quickly and provide rich MANA rewards.
Because your own display is off-limits to card motifs that are already there - and because no motifs that are not yet there may be played into the other players' displays - it is important to have collected the most suitable cards in your hand at the right time. The winner of the game is the player with the largest display of cards and the most MANA at the end.
